Random Fact of the Day

The term "dry ice" was originally a trademarked name that has since become genericized. Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. Under normal atmospheric pressure dry ice does not melt, instead it sublimates (turns directly from a solid to a gas). This is cold enough to cause frost-bite to any skin it comes in contact with. Dry ice was discovered in 1825.
